Dietary Services
Davis County Hospital provides dietary services to both inpatients and outpatients. Services include consultations for patients who are at risk for disease related to dietary concerns, as well as wellness and weight loss.
Inpatient Services
Patients who are admitted in the acute care department who have special healthcare needs related to their diet will be visited by the dietitian once they are admitted. The dietitian will consult with entire healthcare team to determine the best nutritional plan for the patient.
Skilled Care
A consultation with a dietitian will be provided for all skilled care patients. The healthcare team will develop a dietary plan that will promote the healing process for the patient.
Outpatient Services
Consultations with outpatients are available with a physician’s referral. Once a referral has been made, the dietitian will call our patients to arrange an appointment time. Patients will be asked to check-in at outpatient registration using the south entrance to the facility.
Dietary consultations can be arranged for a variety of healthcare needs including, but not limited to:
- Blood Pressure
- Heart Disease
- Diabetes
- Gastrointestinal Disorders
- Food Allergies
- Special needs for the elderly
- Weight Management
Community Needs
The Davis County Hospital Dietitian is available for consultations for corporate wellness programs and community wellness programs.
