Davis County Hospital Emergency Department

The Davis County Hospital Emergency Department is a Community Level Trauma Facility and provides service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department is staffed by Physicians, Nurse Practioners, Registered Nurses and Emergency Medical Staff who is focused on your needs. The laboratory and radiology departments provide 24 hour on call support services.

Those providing medical care in the emergency department at Davis County have received extensive training specific to emergency care. Staff is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Courses, Pediatric Advance Life Support, Neonatal Recitation Program and Basic Life Support.

Davis County Hospital is supported by six air ambulances to provide our patients with quick access to Level 1 trauma facilities. Services to Bloomfield include: Mercy I – Knoxville and Des Moines, Des Moines Methodist Medical Center, University of Iowa Hospitals, Med Force – Burlington and Air Evac.

The new Emergency Department is located on the north side of the building with access available off of Madison Street. Additional privacy is now available to patients with a private entrance to the department, as well as 4 private exam rooms and 1 trauma room.
